UNB Legal Clinic provides free legal services
The UNB Legal Clinic provides free legal services to individuals who cannot afford representation and who do not qualify for Legal Aid. Assistance can be obtained on the following issues: tenancy rights, social benefits (CPP, CERB, income assistance, old age security, disability benefits, etc.), employment law, and small claims. Services are particularly targeted towards individuals with no or low-income receiving income assistance.
The Legal Clinic currently takes phone calls from 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday and is staffed by law students and their Supervising Lawyer from 8:00am – 8:00pm Monday through Thursday to offer the greatest flexibility to clients. It is located at the Fredericton Downtown Community Health Centre at 339 King Street, Fredericton, N.B.
