As you get settled in, we encourage you to explore your new community. There are endless activities happening all-year round. As you begin to meet new people, we would also encourage you to take part in some of the activities, clubs, and organizations occurring for all ages.

When is garbage day?

Residential solid waste collection days occur weekly. Garbage must be at the roadside no late than 7:00am on your pick-up day. For more information, see the Recycling and Solid Waste page.

Where do I find information on the curbside residential recycling program?

As of May 1, 2024, Circular Materials is now responsible for all recycling in New Brunswick. For more information, please visit https://www.circularmaterials.ca/resident-communities/capitalregion/

Where do I get a building permit?

The Capital Region Service Commission handles all questions pertaining to building permits, renovations, development, zoning, and variances on behalf of Arcadia.

What is Voyent Alert?

Voyent Alert is a multi-purpose communication service provided by Arcadia to keep you informed of critical events like fires or floods as well as day-to-day communications such as road maintenance and closures, water advisories, etc.

Sign up for messages through voicemail, email, or text.

Who do I contact about my road?

Whether it be road maintenance, snowplowing, ditching, etc, the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DTI) is responsible for most of the public maintained roads in Arcadia.

Please forward all of your requests to DTI, but please let us know as well. This will help us support your requests when we speak to DTI.
