It is with respect and appreciation that we announce the resignation of Mayor Derek Pleadwell effective February 28, 2025. After many years of dedicated service to Arcadia and the former Village of Gagetown prior to amalgamation, Mayor Pleadwell has made the decision to step down.

We are grateful for his commitment to improving our community, and his service will be remembered by all who have been part of this journey.

As Arcadia moves smoothly through this next transition period, we would like to thank Mayor Pleadwell for his time, energy, and contributions and wish him the very best in his future endeavours.
