National Day for Truth and Reconciliation | September 30

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation | September 30

September 29, 2026

Our office will be closed on Wednesday September 30 as the Village of Arcadia joins communities across Canada in observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

This day is an opportunity to honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and Indigenous communities. It is also a time for reflection, learning, and commitment as we continue the journey toward truth, reconciliation, and a stronger future built on respect and understanding.

We encourage residents to take time to learn about Indigenous history, listen to Indigenous voices, and reflect on the lasting impacts of residential schools. Wearing orange is a meaningful way to recognize and support this important day.
