Council held their Regular Council meeting on Monday July 20th at the former Cambridge-Narrows Municipal Building.
Some of the key decisions made by Council include:
- Approval of sponsorship funding for local community groups and events:
- Gagetown Chamber of Commerce Newcomers' Gathering
- Nove's Place Life at the Lakes Family Fun Days
- Bob Murdoch Memorial Classic Car Show
- Council made a resolution to send a letter to the Minister of Local Government and the Minister of Transportation requesting updates to provincial signage for the former villages of Cambridge-Narrows and Gagetown. The request asks that the "Village" designation be removed while retaining the community names, so the signage accurately reflects the current municipal structure of the Village of Arcadia.
- Approved necessary repairs to the light fixtures at the Cambridge-Narrows Regional Library.
- Approved the purchase of Arcadia lapel pins to be used for branding.
- Awarded the Request for Proposals (RFP) for legal services
Official minutes will be approved by Council at the next Regular Council meeting scheduled for September 28th at 7:00pm at the Gagetown Recreation Centre.
