Extreme Heat & Wildfire Update
Please be advised that Arcadia’s Public Safety Committee and local Fire Chiefs are staying diligent on the current state of wildfires and extreme heat around the province. Here are some protective measures that we are implementing and will continue to monitor closely.
Closures
With the closure of all crown land, please be advised that Arcadia is closing the following locations: Pines Conservation Park, Ball Field, and Disc Golf Course. We encourage residents and property owners to take the same precautions.
Cooling Centers
With summer heat intensifying, we have some community spaces available to cool down:
- Cambridge-Narrows Municipal Building
- August 12, 2025 12:00pm- 8:00pm
- August 13, 2025 10:00am-6:00pm
- Upper Gagetown Fire Department
- August 12, 2025 2:00pm-4:00pm
- August 13, 2025 2:00pm-4:00pm
- Cambridge-Narrows Regional Library
- Open daily 9:00am-5:00pm

Be Prepared
- Create a Family Emergency Plan
- Have an emergency kit ready
- Make transportation plans in case of evacuation order
